Jumpering drives - which is cs?

Hay.

I'm guessin there isn't a standard for this, but here goes:
When setting the jumpers on ide devices, which 2 pins should the jumper be on so that the drive is set to cable select?

from my experience

ide drives usually start from the side nearest to the edge of the drive when looking at it with the drive controlers faced down.

with the drive controlers facing you, it starts, going from right to left, with the power, ide cables, and jumper selections.
If this is the case, the master is typically closest to the ide cable connections, slave, then cable select.
But some drive even have a fourth set of 2 pins, beats me what that is for heh.
